At the 2018 RSNA Annual Meeting, RAIL investigators received 2 Trainee Research Prizes for best resident papers in the categories of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Pediatric MSK Imaging, respectively.

The first paper, “Deep Learning for Detection of Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Arthroplasty Dislocations and “Transfer Learning” to Native Joint Dislocations” won in the category of MSK Imaging and was first-authored by Mr. Tae Kyung (Tony) Kim, and the second paper, “Semantic Labeling of Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiographs Using Deep Learning” was first-authored by Dr. Paul H Yi. Both papers’ senior author is Jan Fritz, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology, with technical senior author, Gregory D Hager, PhD, Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare.
